Tiger Moth flying is extremely weather-dependent. It is therefore essential that you make contact with us the day prior to the flight and also on the morning of the flight to avoid disappointment should the weather deteriorate rapidly.
A warm base layer is advisable. A leather flying jacket will be supplied. Please bring along your own gloves and flat-soled shoes.
You are welcome to spend the whole day at the airfield but please arrive at least 1 hour before the flight, preflight briefing, flight and post flight debrief will take approximately 2 hours.
You are welcome to bring friends along to watch but please leave all pets at home. Photography is welcome. The café provides good home-cooked food and is available all day.
We operate every day between 09:00 and dusk, April to September inclusive.
Please leave adequate time for your journey or travel the previous day and stay over. If you are running late please give us a call and we will try to reorganise your flight.
It is unusual to feel air sick in open cockpit flying, but if you feel you may become unwell then please consult your GP who may prescribe medication. Any prescribed medication should be taken before your flight commences. Your pilot will be sensitive to your condition if you can inform him whilst flying.
